SAG Drivers
Support and Gear (SAG) volunteers drive vans and transport cyclists who are unable to ride.
SAG drivers must have a valid Texas Drivers License, proof of insurance, average visual acuity, ability to drive a large cargo van through tight rider and pedestrian areas, and ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
It is important that SAG drivers practice patience and are able to handle high-pressure situations. SAG drivers are encouraged to have a second person to help load the van and navigate; there is a maximum of two volunteers per van.
SAG drivers must be able to work the entire weekend from 4:30 a.m to 4 p.m. or later such as 7 p.m. on both Days 1 and 2.
